WELCOME TO KIDS4CARING
Our mission is get our children exposed and learning about different ways to "care" and "get involved".
Non Profits & Organizations come to our program, explain what they are all about, and in most cases interact with the children making a "project" related to the cause that the non-profit supports.
We run other "caring/giving back" projects during the school year too.

NEWS
Thanks for coming!!
Dear Parents,
At our first Kids4Caring meeting of the year, students brought their lunch and created thoughtful and beautiful cards for people in our community such as crossing guards, police officers and firemen. These cards were created for Thanksgiving.
Students expressed thanks with meaningful specifics and examples of what made them feel thankful.
We would love to have your kids (2nd-4rd/LLE ) join us!
Please note that we have made some changes to the format of the club. Kids4Caring will meet once per month during lunch (students are welcome to go to recess) where we will typically do a hands on service-based learning activity. In the Spring, we anticipate having four after school sessions where we will bring nonprofits in to work with students, and a lemonade stand to raise money for nonprofits and service projects.
If you have any questions about the club, feel free to reach out to us at:

Past events:
- CapsforKids Fundraiser!
The Kids4Caring Club hosted a "Cap Day" for County Road, Luther Lee and Demarest Middle Schools.
Students wore a hat to school with the donation of $1.00.
The money collected went toward the non profit organization "Caps for Kids".
"Caps for Kids" provide children undergoing treatment for cancer or receiving chemotherapy a cap autographed by a celebrity of their choice.
To find out more on this very worthy cause or to make an online donation, go to:
- Operation "Bring back your backpack!"
We collected new and used backpacks from our Demarest schools and local families!
We donated all the items collected to one of the Non Profits that came to visit K4C.
The Affum-Darkwah Mission International Inc. (TADMI Inc.) which focuses on helping the underprivileged, Hospitals, Schools and Orphanages in Ghana and other parts of Africa.
To find out more about TADMI, please go to:

- Organized a Food drive for The Center for Food Action in Englewood, NJ.
another Non Profit that came to visit us.
- Kids4Caring and The Kare Club/Middle school joined forces to write letters of appreciation to veterans, wishing them Happy Holidays too!
- Our K4C Lemonade Stand raised funds to donate to all the Non Profits that came to visit us!
At Kids4Caring we do different activities and projects that keep the kids excited and eager to learn to "give back" in an interactive way feeling and knowing that they are making a difference for a better world.
It can be sewing pillowcases, creating books with jokes, learning some acting skills from actors that belong to a Non Profit and learning how volunteers dedicate their time and efforts for patients at Hospitals providing all of these things for them.
It can be also creating beautiful cards for people struggling around the world, or collecting food, books, pjs to send to families in need of a "home", "food", "surgery", a "wish" or a "smile"...
Or practicing and learning about the therapeutic benefits of Yoga and meditation.
We learned about recycling with art projects, planting and the importance of trying to take care of Mother Earth and be environmentally conscious.
Of course we also enjoyed the visits of a few rescues (pets) and also furry friends that are service animals, not to mention learning how much animals can help and heal us!!
We had fun when we played soccer and learned how other kids in less fortunate countries are now having the chance to have a soccer ball, a net, a field to play!
And experimented through our senses to learn what it means to have some disabilities and how important it is to understand that everyone is different and should be respected, while at the same time learning how we can help and provide different services and tools for them.
We really appreciate all the Non Profits that come to visit us, donating their time and efforts while teaching our kids how to make a difference for the better!
Best,
Kids4Caring Team
